Poco Pad 5G to launch in India on August 23; Display details revealed

The launch of the Poco Pad 5G in India has been officially confirmed. The company also teased the tablet’s design and revealed its display specifications. A Wi-Fi-only model of the Poco Pad was unveiled in select global markets in May this year. Apart from the additional 5G connectivity support, the Indian version is expected to have similar specifications to the global version, being powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC and packing a 10,000mAh battery.

The company confirmed in a post on X that the Poco Pad 5G will be launched in India on August 23 at 12 PM IST. The tablet will come in blue colour and will come with a keyboard and stylus. Notably, the global version of the Poco Pad has been unveiled in blue and grey hues. The bottom edge of the tablet features a speaker grille, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

At the same time, the Flipkart microsite confirmed that the Poco Pad 5G will feature a 12.1-inch display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, and peak brightness levels of 600 nits. The screen is also triple-certified by TÜV Rheinland.

Other details about the Poco Pad 5G are yet to be confirmed. However, it is expected to have similar specifications to the global version. The version sold internationally will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. The tablet will run on Android 14-based HyperOS.

The Poco Pad 5G features 8MP cameras on the front and back. It has four speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a 10,000mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging. The tablet also comes with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.
