Poco is all set to launch a new tablet in India. The company has revealed that the device will be launched in India on August 23. Now, ahead of the launch, key specifications of the device have been spotted on popular benchmarking website Geekbench. It is worth noting that the Poco Pad is already available in the global market. The specifications are expected to remain unchanged.
The Poco Pad 5G has been spotted with model number 24074PCD2I, which is the same as the one listed on the Indian Standards Institute (BIS). According to the new listing, the tablet will be equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and 8GB of RAM, just like the global version. In benchmark tests, the Poco Pad 5G scored 1,035 points in single-core performance and 2,978 points in multi-core, matching the results of our review of the tablet. The listing also indicates that the tablet will run on Android 14, possibly with Xiaomi’s HyperOS on top.
Pokopad: Specifications
The Poco Pad is a sleek and lightweight tablet with a height of 280.00mm, width of 181.85mm, thickness of 7.52mm and weight of 571g. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 mobile platform, with an octa-core CPU that can reach speeds of up to 2.4GHz and a Qualcomm Adreno GPU. The tablet comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, expandable up to 1.5TB.
Poco Pad features a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, providing a crisp image of 249 ppi. It supports a 120Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz. The display is bright, reaching 500 nits normally and 600 nits in high brightness mode, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It also comes with advanced features such as Dolby Vision, Adaptive Color, Adaptive Reading Mode, and Low Blue Light Certification.
For photography, the Poco Pad comes with an 8MP rear camera that supports 1080P video recording at 30fps and an 8MP front camera with similar video capabilities.
The tablet is equipped with a large 10,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging via USB Type-C. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and multiple sensors such as accelerometer, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor. It runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS based on Android U and comes with essential accessories in the package such as a USB Type-C cable, adapter, and SD card eject tool.
