Espoo, Finland – Nokia and Batelco today announced the signing of a partnership agreement to provide a 5G private wireless network across the Kingdom of Bahrain. Batelco leverages market-leading Nokia Private Wireless, which includes DAC, MPW, edge computing capabilities, value-added applications, and ruggedized industrial devices, to enable multiple use cases across a variety of industries.
Organizations in this market will benefit from Nokia’s expertise in the private wireless space and application knowledge in mission-critical industries around the world. 5G private wireless solutions will enable Bahraini industries to tap into new revenue streams, improve operational KPIs, and demand higher standards of health and safety in their operational environments.
The partnership will make Nokia the sole supplier of private wireless infrastructure across Bahrain, with implementation scheduled for the second half of 2024.
