ATIS’ Next G Alliance (NGA) and India’s Bharat 6G Alliance have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore collaboration opportunities on 6G wireless technology, the former said in a release.
The main objectives of the collaboration are to align research and development priorities in support of a “common 6G vision” and to build secure and reliable communications and resilient supply chains, the partners said. .
The Next G Alliance was launched by the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) in an effort to advance North America’s wireless technology leadership over the next decade through private sector-led efforts initially focused on 6G. I did.
The Bharat 6G Alliance, on the other hand, is an initiative of India’s industry, academia, national research institutes and standards bodies, with the main objective of designing, developing and deploying technologies for future 6G systems. The Bharat 6G Alliance aims to foster an ecosystem for research, design, development, field testing, security, certification and manufacturing of telecom products and solutions.
“Defining what it takes to achieve next-generation wireless leadership is a bold undertaking,” said ATIS President and CEO Susan Miller. “ATIS has signed cooperation agreements with Korea’s 5G Forum, Japan’s Beyond 5G Acceleration Consortium, and Europe’s 6G Smart Network and Services Industry Association (6G-IA). We see this as a critical link in advancing both organizations’ goals in developing the global 6G mobile wireless ecosystem.”
“India has a vision to empower the whole society with sustainability at its core, and the next generation of 6G will further improve the quality of life on this planet.
