Elcome International LLC has announced the launch of WELCOME, a pay-as-you-go satellite internet service for ships and marine facilities around the world.
ISpecifically, WELCOME, which builds on Starlink’s global maritime services, provides high-speed, low-latency internet access at attractive pricing to crew and passengers without a fixed monthly fee.
What is Starlink?
Developed by SpaceX, Starlink is a satellite internet constellation that uses low Earth orbit to provide high-speed internet access to remote and underserved areas around the world.
As explained, the new service will be available in all international and territorial waters of 70 countries, delivering up to 350 Mbps of bandwidth and average latency of less than 99 milliseconds.
Crew members can purchase data bundles or monthly subscriptions from as little as $3 using international and local credit cards, online wallets, and other payment methods.
