MSC Magnifica became the fleet’s first Starlink-equipped ship in December 2022.
Travelers are using more bandwidth on MSC cruise ships in recent years. To meet this and future demand, cruise lines have decided to increase their capacity. MSC offers her two internet packages to guests. One for browsing and one for browsing and streaming.
Sister cruise line Explora Journeys has also equipped its first of six ships with Starlink infrastructure. The brand plans to add Starlink to the Explora II ahead of the ship’s launch in August.
