Remember the Moto G Power 5G (2024) sale at Best Buy last week? Back then, you could buy it at the lowest price (so far). But the sale has ended, and there’s no telling when or if it will come back. So what if you missed the chance to buy the Motorola smartphone at the lowest price? If you choose the Motorola Store sale, you can save at least $50.
Why the minimum $50? Because you can get even more discounts if you trade in an older device in good condition. We looked at this option and found that even phones like the Moto G20 can save you another $55 with the Moto G Power 5G (2024), bringing the $299.99 phone down to under $200. Comparable to mid-range phones like the OnePlus Nord N30 5G, Motorola’s phone has enough features to satisfy most users. Sure, it’s not all that impressive spec-wise, but it offers mostly smooth performance and a long enough battery life. What more could you ask for from a phone that’s currently around $250 (without a trade-in)?
Speaking of specs, what exactly does this model have? It has a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek processor that handles most tasks without any issues, and 8GB of RAM. As for the camera, it has a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide unit. It’s capable of taking great-looking photos in perfect conditions, but don’t expect this Motorola to be your next device for all those cherished family photos.
The Moto G Power 5G (2024) may not be the best Android smartphone out there, but it has enough going for it to justify its low price – that said, there’s an equally good alternative on sale right now with a $50 discount, so it might be worth checking out.
This OnePlus phone is just as good.
The OnePlus Nord N30 5G sports a 6.7-inch 120Hz display, offering roughly the same screen real estate. The phone also has a 5,000mAh battery, the same capacity as the Motorola. But that’s not all: The OnePlus Store is also discounting the Nord 30 5G by $50 from $299.99, so you can buy both phones for the same price right now.
So far so good. What are the differences between the two? Firstly, the OnePlus runs on Android 13, while the Moto phone comes with Android 14 out of the box. It might not be a big difference for some users, but it’s still worth mentioning.
The second difference is the camera setup: the Moto has a 50MP primary sensor, while the Nord N30 5G uses a 108MP PDAF main camera, which can take better photos in the right conditions. Finally, the OnePlus smartphone has faster wired charging speeds at 50W. Incidentally, the Moto G Power 5G (2024) supports 30W wired charging (15W wireless is also available).
