Motorola first launched the Moto G Power in 2020, but it wasn’t a 5G device. The company refreshed its lineup earlier this year with the Moto G Power 5G (2024) featuring the 6nm Dimensity 7020 chipset. According to the latest leaks, the company is working on another refresh to be released next year. This Moto G Power 5G 2025 is expected to have a refreshed design compared to the Moto G Power 5G 2024.
91mobiles has shared concept renders of an upcoming Motorola device bearing the model number Vegas XT2515-1. This model number is very similar to the model number of this year’s Moto G Power 5G, which is XT2415-1. The 24 and 25 in the model number seem to refer to the release year of the device. This is why the Vegas XT2515-1 is expected to be the Moto G Power 5G 2025.
Moto G Power 5G 2025 could offer a revamped design
As you can see from the image, the phone comes with three cameras at the back. This is a change in both design and specifications as this year’s model offers a dual camera (50MP + 8MP UW) setup at the back. On top of that, the camera island also looks much better with a refreshed design similar to the company’s recent Edge series devices such as the Moto Edge 50 Pro.
The source speculates that the back panel could be made from vegan leather, and while the low resolution of the image makes it impossible to confirm the material, the fact that the budget Moto G45 5G also sports the material on its back panel makes it a possibility.
Still, the phone has a flat display with a noticeably thicker bottom section, and the center bezel also retains the same flat design as its predecessor. Overall, the phone has a very similar look to the front and sides.
This year’s model will only be sold in the United States.
The Moto G Power 5G 2024 is currently only available in North America. There is no confirmation that it will be available in other markets, so it is unclear whether the Moto G Power 5G 2025 will be available worldwide. Additionally, the specifications of the upcoming Moto G Power have yet to be revealed.
