McLaren Racing and NTT DATA have extended their existing partnership to include the Formula 1 Academy Team.
contract:
- The expansion agreement will commence at this weekend’s race in Zandvoort.
- The NTT Data logo will appear on Bianca Bustamante’s car for the remainder of 2024 and beyond.
context:
McLaren Racing has partnered with the Japanese information technology company through its IndyCar team, Arrow McLaren, from 2023. NTT Data has been the team’s official IT services partner during that time, and the collaboration also extended to F1 for the final six races of last season on a short-term contract.
NTT Data will follow Cisco in providing support for the Woking-based team’s participation in the F1 Academy, reflecting the synergy between the two brands outside of motorsport. The technology companies have worked together for more than 30 years, and their close relationship through the all-female support series marks a continuation of this collaboration.
comment:
Matt Dennington, co-chief commercial officer at McLaren Racing, said: “We are pleased to further develop our partnership with NTT DATA into the world of F1 Academy, a relationship that continues to go from strength to strength with the Arrow McLaren IndyCar team.”
“We are proud to work closely with our partners to continue opening the doors to motorsport for more women drivers and are pleased to have NTT DATA join us in this effort.”
Coming up next:
After more than two months without racing, the F1 Academy will return for its fourth event of the season to support the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort from 23rd to 25th August.
