When MAGA conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer criticized President Donald Trump’s former press secretary for her weight, the internet didn’t quite take it.
Stephanie Grisham, who was Melania Trump’s press secretary and chief of staff, spoke at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday night. During her speech, Grisham told attendees that the former president has mocked his supporters behind closed doors, calling them “basement dwellers.”
Grisham said she resigned on Jan. 6, 2021 — the day of the Capitol attack — because she “could not contribute any more to this madness.”
She added: “Kamala Harris speaks the truth and respects the American people, and that’s why I’m voting for her.”
On Tuesday, Loomer, known for her right-wing conspiracy theories and anti-Muslim activism,, Posting a screenshot of Grisham on X, he wrote: “Stephanie Grisham is really stuck up. She’s one of those traitors who used Donald Trump to get rich and then turned against him in J6.”
“I think she’s started eating uncontrollably since leaving Trump. I think she’s gained like 75 pounds since ‘leaving office’. Now she’s voting for Kamala Harris. This is what happens when you hit a wall.”
Her comments were quickly picked up by social media users, who defended Grisham and fired back at Loomer.
“You’re such an ugly person…it’s not even about looks,” one person wrote.
Another wrote: “Why is it so easy for Republicans to blame fat people?”, while another wrote: “Your account and conspiracy theories are trash. Laura you shouldn’t talk about other people’s looks.”

Loomer has continued her social media attacks on Democratic National Convention speakers throughout the week, including celebrity attendee Oprah Winfrey, who spoke at the convention on Wednesday night.
“Oprah Winfrey begged Donald Trump to be her running mate,” Loomer wrote on X. “She’s a hypocrite and a liar. She’s so wealthy, Democrat policies won’t hurt her the way they hurt ordinary Americans.”
She added Thursday: “I remain astounded by the utter hypocrisy of the last three nights of the Democratic National Convention.
“It’s enough to confuse and stun me. And that’s saying a lot, because it takes a lot to stun me. Watching the Democratic National Convention makes me feel like I’m living in another world.”
