The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement said total gambling revenue reported by casinos, race tracks and their partners in July was $547.8 million, up 8.2% from the $506.2 million reported in July 2023. Year-to-date, total gambling revenue reported by casinos, race tracks and their partners was $3.61 billion, up 11.5% from $3.23 billion in the same period last year.
“Atlantic City’s total gaming revenue in July reached its highest level in more than a decade, driven by near-record Internet gaming revenue and strong sports betting revenue,” said James Prusis, chairman of the New Jersey Casino Control Commission. “It marked the third time Atlantic City’s monthly total gaming revenue has exceeded $500 million, while Internet gaming revenue achieved its second-highest monthly total since its inception.”
Total sports betting revenue reported by casinos, racetracks and their partners in July was $80 million, reflecting an increase of 31.2% compared to $61 million reported in July 2023. Total sports betting revenue reported by casinos, racetracks and their partners year-to-date was $653.1 million, reflecting an increase of 30.1% compared to $501.8 million reported in the same period last year.
July casino revenue for the nine casino-hotel properties was $272.3 million, reflecting a decrease of 6.1% compared to the $290 million reported in July 2023. Year-to-date casino revenue for the nine casino-hotel properties was $1.63 billion, a decrease of 1% compared to year-to-date casino revenue for July 2023.
Internet gaming revenue reported by the casino and its partners was $195.4 million, representing an increase of 25.9% compared to the $155.2 million reported in July 2023. Year-to-date, Internet gaming revenue reported by the casino and its partners was $1.33 billion, representing an increase of 22% compared to $1.09 billion in the same period last year.
