Just in time for football season, Verizon has stepped up its game with a special NFL Sunday Ticket promotion. Verizon’s current internet offer includes a free NFL Sunday Ticket subscription for the 2024 season (a $449 value). To receive the offer, customers must sign up for or upgrade to a Fios Gigabit plan or the provider’s 5G Home Plus plan.
What is NFL Sunday Ticket?
NFL Sunday Ticket, YouTube TV’s exclusive streaming package, allows viewers to watch every live out-of-market game every Sunday during the regular season. Package prices start at $449 ($349 for YouTube TV subscribers) and include unlimited in-home streams and two out-of-home streams.
It’s a must-have for international football fans who want a reliable way to watch their team. For example, for an Eagles fan living in Sacramento, NFL Sunday Ticket is the best (and maybe the only) way to watch their team play live every week from the comfort of your own home.
This package is great for casual football fans or for keeping up with fantasy players around the league, or if you’re rooting for the Panthers like me, NFL Sunday Ticket gives you the opportunity to watch other teams compete in something that actually resembles football.
Verizon NFL Sunday Ticket offer details

NFL Sunday Ticket is available for a limited time to new and upgrading customers who select a Verizon Fios Giga plan (available from $90 per month for 1Gbps or $110 per month for 2.3Gbps in select areas) or Verizon’s 5G Home Plus (available from $70 per month for speeds between 85 and 1,000Mbps).
Customers must keep their service in good standing until Feb. 28, 2025, or Verizon “reserves the right to charge the annual subscription amount.”
It also includes a free one-year Vix Premium subscription and a three- or four-year price guarantee with 5G Home Plus or Fios Giga service, respectively.
The lower-tier plans, Fios 300 and 500Mbps and 5G Home Internet, don’t include the NFL Sunday Ticket subscription, but you do get the Vix Premium subscription and two- or three-year price protection.
Do I need a YouTube TV subscription to watch NFL Sunday Ticket?
No. You’ll need a Google account to get NFL Sunday Ticket, but you won’t need a YouTube TV subscription, which is cheaper at $349 instead of $449, but that doesn’t matter when you can get it for free from Verizon.
To stream NFL Sunday Ticket reliably in HD, you’ll also need a streaming device or smart TV with the YouTube app installed and an internet connection with download speeds of at least 13 Mbps. Other than that, all you’ll need are some snacks, a drink, and your lucky jersey.
What if I don’t want NFL Sunday Ticket?
Verizon frequently offers a choice of two or more promotional offers, and this is one of them. For those who don’t want NFL Sunday Ticket, Verizon is offering $400 off Samsung appliances at The Home Depot when you spend at least $798 on them.
To qualify, new or upgrading customers must sign up for a Fios Giga Plan or 5G Home Plus by September 11, 2024 and keep the service in good standing for 180 days.
If neither the NFL Sunday Ticket subscription nor the $400 Samsung electronics credit offer sounds appealing, check back in a month or so. Verizon changes its promotional offers frequently, and the next offer will no doubt be a much better deal if you’re gunning for something better than the free NFL Sunday Ticket subscription.
