Another small convenience update released with iOS 16 is that it now makes it much easier to view and copy your Wi-Fi password than in previous versions of the OS.
Before iOS 16, when you tried to connect to Wi-Fi, other iOS devices on the same SSID would be notified that someone was trying to connect to your network, making it easy to share. This worked (and still works) with some Apple “magic” – but it only worked on iOS devices. Below we’ll show you how to view and copy your Wi-Fi password in iOS 16+ and iPadOS 16+.

How to view your Wi-Fi network password on your iPhone or iPad
For this to work, you need to be connected to or have been connected to a Wi-Fi network in the past, and be close enough to the router for the network to appear in Settings. If you meet these requirements, launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad running iOS 16 or iPadOS 16 or later, and do the following:
1. fart Wifi.
2Find the Wi-Fi network that requires a password, Blue information icon It’s to the right of the network name.
3Tap password To reveal your password, use Face ID, Touch ID, or enter your passcode.
4Finally, hit copy Save the password to your clipboard.

You can see the password for any Wi-Fi network you’ve ever connected to, as long as you’re currently connected to it or nearby enough to see it in “My Networks.”
You can then share your Wi-Fi network password with others by pasting it into a text message or email, or you can just give them the password.
