Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) provides WiFi access for seamless internet connectivity for students, faculty and staff, and on campus. If you’re new to KNUST or need help connecting to a WiFi network, this guide will walk you through the process step-by-step.
How to connect to KNUST WiFi
- Access WiFi settings
Unlock your device and go to the WiFi settings menu.
On smartphones and laptops, this is usually located in Settings or Control Center.
2: Select KNUST WiFi network
In the list of available networks, find and select the “KNUST WiFi” network.
If your device doesn’t have WiFi enabled, make sure it’s enabled.
- Please enter your credentials
Once you select the KNUST WiFi network, you may be asked to enter your login credentials.
Enter your KNUST username and password in the fields provided.
If you are a student, please use your student ID or email credentials. Faculty and staff must use their own login information.
- I agree with the Terms & Conditions
Some WiFi networks, including KNUST, may require users to agree to terms and conditions before connecting.
Read the terms and conditions carefully and click or tap the “Agree” button to proceed.
- Connect and wait for confirmation
After entering your credentials and agreeing to the terms, click or tap the Connect or Join button.
The device will attempt to connect to the KNUST WiFi network. Wait a moment until the connection is established.
Once connected, you will see a confirmation message or a message indicating that you are connected to the KNUST WiFi network.
- Test the connection
To verify that you have successfully connected to the KNUST WiFi network, open a web browser or internet-dependent application on your device.
Verify that you can connect to the Internet by visiting the website or performing a web search.
If you run into issues or experience slow speeds during the connection process, try the following troubleshooting steps:

- Restart your device and try to reconnect to your WiFi network.
- Make sure you are within range of a WiFi access point on campus.
