Ring is one of the most well-known brands in the video doorbell market, with over 10 million Americans having a video doorbell installed in their home. This does not include Ring’s alarm systems or wall cameras. Video doorbells have completely changed home security due to their easy installation and connectivity with mobile devices. Devices such as video doorbells need to connect to a Wi-Fi network to function properly. Otherwise, users will not receive the necessary alerts and notifications. Otherwise, how would you know if your cat has walked past your front door?

As a security measure, it is wise to connect your smart home devices, including your video doorbell, to a separate Wi-Fi network. However, this is not the only time when you may need to reconnect your video doorbell to your network. An internet outage may cause your device to disconnect from the network until you manually reconnect it. You may also need to change your login credentials and reconnect all your electronic devices. Sometimes, users simply need to reset their Ring doorbell for some reason. There are also cases when the Ring doorbell is not compatible with 5Ghz internet and users must connect their device to a 2.5Ghz network. Luckily, all Ring doorbells are compatible with 2.5Ghz networks.
Whatever your reason for wanting to change or reconnect to a Wi-Fi network, it’s a simple process.
