What better way to live in Barbie’s world than with a Barbie phone?
HMD on Wednesday unveiled the Barbie Flip Phone, a pink-heavy, social media-free, nostalgic design. The company partnered with Mattel to create the retro device, designed to reduce screen time and focus on the Barbie lifestyle.
The device has basic mobile phone functions like calling and texting, but it cannot access the internet or install social media apps. Instead, it comes with a few Easter eggs, such as a voice message that says “Hi Barbie” when you power it on.
“It’s pink, chic, sophisticated and features a mirror on the front (so you can touch up your makeup on the go), making it the perfect tool for living your best life and enjoying a vacation away from your phone,” an HMD news release said.
The product was already on sale in the UK for 99 pounds ($130.74) as of Wednesday, but US consumers will have to wait until October to get their hands on the Barbie-like phone.

- 2 extra back covers
