Donald Trump was hit with an avalanche of criticism on Saturday after he said he looked like Elvis Presley.
The former president said earlier in the day that throughout his life people have compared his appearance to that of the King of Rock and Roll. There were also negative comments in some cases on the former president’s own social media network, Truth Social.
But beyond the “Society of Truth,” political onlookers were more interested in pointing out the failures of the comparison.

Democratic strategist Johnny Palmadessa said Saturday: “Donald Trump just compared himself to Elvis. No kidding. He just posted this. Obviously he has dementia.” .
Columnist and MSNBC correspondent Molly Johnfast commented lightheartedly on the Elvis comparison, calling it “just a normal presidential story.”
One social media user thought it necessary to call out President Trump’s family.

Ben Meiselas, a lawyer and owner of Los Angeles Magazine, responded to this comparison:
“President Biden has rightly said this is the strangest campaign he has ever been involved in in his lifetime.”
Other commenters claimed that Trump had “lost his mind” or suggested that he simply “can’t be serious.”
