The private lawyer pointed out that “access to the Internet is equivalent to blood.”
This means that just like what happens to our bodies when we run out of blood, things in our lives start to malfunction when we lose access to the internet.
“You don’t know a good thing until you lose it. If you have any doubts, ask a Nigerian, a Ghanaian, an Ivorian, a Cameroonian this week.” One influencer, @lordcudjoe, said, Access is almost like blood,” he wrote on his X page, which was spotted by GhanaWeb.
He made this statement in response to the recent cutting of submarine fiber optic cables. The disconnection has significantly impacted mobile network operations since March 14, causing widespread internet outages across the United States.
The National Communications Authority (NCA) has informed the public that four submarine cables from Ghana to Europe via Ivory Coast and Senegal are still unavailable.
The group also said it will take about five weeks for the internet issues to be resolved and things to return to normal.
