After all, our experience covering the astonishingly rapid advances in military applications of AI has convinced us that AI is not only an integral part of humanity’s future, it is now clearly humanity’s destiny. It’s done. This is nothing to worry about. On the contrary, in an era of resurgent great power competition with China, it is something that we should all individually welcome and even embrace.
In the next decade, generative AI will do more than just push humanity along its path. It leaps us into a kaleidoscopic future where the fabric of reality and the threads of digital dreams merge. But we can’t resist the relentless pull of these fascinating technology paradigm shifts underway (we counted at least 6 paradigm shifts, and ChatGPT is wisely the only technology we’ve come up with.
