Motorola launched the Moto G Power in 2020, marking the beginning of a successful series known for its strong battery life and solid performance. Earlier this year, the company refreshed the lineup with the Moto G Power 5G (2024), introducing upgraded features to meet modern demands. Now, recent leaks suggest that yet another update is on the way, expected to launch next year with the revealing name Moto G Power 5G (2025). The leaked images show a redesigned back panel that offers a fresh look compared to the current Moto G Power 5G (2024) model.
The Moto G Power 5G (2025) is likely to feature an additional rear camera to enhance its photography capabilities. A concept render shared by 91mobiles shows the new Motorola device with model number Vegas XT2515-1, which is very similar to that of the Moto G Power 5G (2024), which is labeled XT2415-1. The similarity of the numbers, especially the change from “24” to “25”, suggests that the Vegas XT2515-1 could actually be the Moto G Power 5G (2025). This sparks speculation about its features and improvements.

Moto G Power 5G (2025) with triple camera and vegan leather finish
Leaked images have revealed that the upcoming Moto G Power 5G (2025) may feature a triple camera setup on the back, which would be a significant upgrade from the dual-camera setup in the 2024 model that included a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The camera module also features a revamped design, mirroring the aesthetics of Motorola’s recent Edge series, such as the Moto Edge 50 Pro.
There’s also speculation that the back panel may be made from vegan leather, though the image quality isn’t clear enough to back this up, but the possibility seems plausible given that the affordable Moto G45 5G already sports a vegan leather back.
Despite these upgrades, the Moto G Power 5G (2025) appears to retain its flat display, with a prominent bottom and flat central bezel like its predecessor. From the front and side, the design remains largely unchanged, closely following the aesthetic of the 2024 model.
For now, the Moto G Power 5G (2024) is only available in North America. There’s no word on whether the 2025 model will be available more widely around the world, and details about the new phone’s specifications are remaining secret.
For reference, the current model features a 6.7-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution. It has a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera at the back. There is also a 16MP front-facing camera. The phone is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 30W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
After all, the device is likely still a few months away from launch, so we expect more details to emerge at a later date.
