Ericsson has partnered with the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) to conduct joint research in artificial intelligence (AI), computing, and wireless technologies.
The partnership features the signing of two agreements to innovate in the areas of AI and distributed computing technologies, with a focus on developing advances in 6G networks.
Ericsson said the research initiatives under this partnership will be critical for future 6G networks, where the dynamic management of computing offload at the network edge will rely heavily on AI-driven policies.
