Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, took the stage at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night to deliver a moving tribute and urge support for her stepmother, known as “Momala.”
The 25-year-old artist and model was all smiles as she took to the stage with the vice president’s niece, Meena Harris, and her goddaughter, Helena Hudlin.
Their appearance came on the fourth night of the convention, when Democrats were introducing Harris to the American people as their presidential candidate before she formally accepts the nomination.
They called the 59-year-old vice president, whom they know personally, “an extraordinary woman.”

“Like a lot of young people, I didn’t always understand what I was feeling, but no matter what, Kamala was there.”
“She was patient, compassionate and always took me seriously,” Emhoff said. “She never stopped listening to me and will continue to listen to all of us.”
