He further said that the collation of results will be done using computers not connected to the internet to make the process more efficient.
In an interview with City News monitored by Ghanaweb, Dr. Kuaiko urged the public not to panic over the recent internet disruptions as it will not affect the 2024 elections as some people perceive. called on the people.
“On election day, everything is manual, no internet is used for reading. Voting is basically done without electronic voting. People are given a ballot and they go and put their thumbprint. It’s the internet. It has nothing to do with the Internet, and when results are counted, it has nothing to do with the Internet.
According to citinewsroom.com, Dr. Kuaiko said, “Officers will physically send the results to the collation center and the results will be collated manually on an access sheet with no internet connection.”
He continued: “Once you have finished your precincts, you will send your results to the regional office without using the internet. In this region, you can also do the collation using just your computer without an internet connection. Send the results by fax to the main office.
“Then, the head office will also do the collation and announce the results. Therefore, the voting day has nothing to do with internet connectivity.
