President Donald Trump has suggested that the mysterious red mark on his hand that sparked speculation online last month may have been generated by AI.
When Fox News’ Mark Meredith asked about the photo, President Trump said he had not seen it. Asked afterwards what happened to his hands, the former president replied: “Nothing. Probably because of the AI.”
At the time the photo was taken, Trump was photographed leaving his Manhattan apartment to attend E. Jean Carroll’s second defamation trial. Photos showed him waving and a small red mark was visible on his right hand.
Photos taken in Atkinson, New Hampshire, suggest they weren’t there the night before.
The photos sparked speculation online that the marks ranged from sexually transmitted infections to falls.
A dermatologist previously told Business Insider that the marks are likely a rash and could have a variety of causes.
Representatives for Mr. Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment from BI outside of normal business hours.
