The company continues to develop commercial network connectivity in Chile through its Starlink satellite technology.
By deploying fiber optics and Starlink satellite technology, Copec has managed to connect over 60% of Chile’s service station network.
This project is an opportunity to improve customer experience and provide stable and secure connectivity in rural and remote areas of the country. The rollout began with stations in areas with the greatest connectivity challenges and has been expanded to more traditional locations.
This initiative will have a significant impact on nearby communities as improved connectivity will expand internet access to surrounding areas, resulting in faster transactions and greater digital stability.
Furthermore, by providing the technological infrastructure essential for local development, we are also contributing to improving the quality of life for local residents.
Starlink is a satellite technology developed by SpaceX that uses a constellation of low-orbit satellites to provide high-speed, low-latency internet access to remote and rural areas. Through this technology, Copec is committed to continuously improving its services and strengthening its network of more than 670 locations.
