Xfinity announced yesterday that millions of Xfinity Internet customers are waking up to faster speeds at no additional cost. As data needs grow in the always-connected home, Xfinity ensures customers can stream, surf and share on networks and services they can trust, now and in the future.
Starting today, new and existing customers can take advantage of the following speed improvements:
-
Connection: 75 Mbps to 150 Mbps
-
Connect more: 200 Mbps to 300 Mbps
-
High speed: 400 Mbps to 500 Mbps
-
Xfinity Prepaid: 50 Mbps to 200 Mbps
The increased speed will help Xfinity ensure customer coverage now and in the future. These are made possible by Comcast’s fiber-based network, built to ubiquitously deliver a superior Internet experience to more than 60 million homes and businesses across the country. This is the culmination of years of research, technological advances, and massive investments in development and infrastructure, exceeding $20 billion since 2018 alone.
High speeds are a key feature of a comprehensive connectivity experience, and this powerful network, combined with sophisticated hardware and software, provides incredible benefits for consumers.

Streaming live sports, games, and other data-rich applications are taking internet consumption to new heights. Over the past 20 years, we have regularly improved our speed to give our customers the connectivity they need to power their increasingly connected lives. And since funding for the Affordable Connectivity Program may not be renewed, this year we’ve been working hard on speed improvements to help these customers take advantage of these new features. .
