As data needs grow in the always-connected home, Xfinity ensures customers can stream, surf and share on networks and services they can trust, now and in the future.
Emily Waldorf, Comcast’s senior vice president of Consumer Internet Services, said: “Over the past 20 years, we have regularly increased speeds to give our customers the connectivity they need to power their increasingly connected lives. This year, we have worked hard to increase speed so these customers can take advantage of these new features, as funding may not be renewed.”
Starting Wednesday, new and existing customers will be able to take advantage of the following speed improvements:
- Connection: 75 Mbps to 150 Mbps
- Connect more: 200 Mbps to 300 Mbps
- High speed: 400 Mbps to 500 Mbps
- Xfinity Prepaid: 50 Mbps to 200 Mbps
This speed increase is made possible by Comcast’s fiber-based network, built to ubiquitously deliver an exceptional Internet experience to more than 60 million homes and businesses nationwide. This is the culmination of years of research, technological advances, and massive investments in development and infrastructure, exceeding $20 billion since 2018 alone.
