Swati Mukund shares her troubling experience with food delivery app Swiggy.
Ordering food has become very easy thanks to food delivery apps like Swiggy and Zomato. Get your favorite meals delivered to your doorstep with just a few taps on your phone. Whether you want a quick snack or a full-course meal, we’re just a click away. These apps make it easy to explore different restaurants and choose from different cuisines. However, in a recent expose, internet personality Swati Mukund has exposed what she claims is a new scam related to Swiggy. “Swiggy recently came up with a new scam in the market,” she began in her latest Instagram video.

Mukund said she ordered food on the app at 8:20am and the order didn’t arrive until 9am, even though the app said the delivery time was 30 minutes.
Frustrated by the delay, Mukund contacted Swiggy’s customer care, explaining that he had not received his food even after 45 minutes and requested that his order be canceled.
However, Mukund claims that the customer care representative claimed in their system that the order was received at 8:40 p.m. They pointed out that the food had to be delivered by 9:10 p.m., based on the 30-minute delivery promise. Mukund claims that despite trying to convince the customer care team, Swiggy did not cancel the order or initiate a refund. She ended the video with this: “This is her reminder to herself never to trust Swiggy again with her food needs.”
“Swiggy is not cool at all!” she wrote as a caption.
“This happened to me and several others I know, but this was not what I expected from you. To be honest, I’m a user and a regular “But I don’t think it’s about providing food or good service to customers.” “It’s not on the menu anymore. I paid 150 rupees for a 1.8km delivery.” she added.
Mukund continued in the comment, “Also, I would like to add here that the issue was not with the food being cooked. Confectionery is ready-made, which has always been a no-brainer for service providers when it comes to hot meals, so the shortened schedule was clearly a nuisance.”

Mukund later provided an update in a comment, revealing that Swiggy had reached out to her regarding the situation. “Swiggy contacted me and spoke to their senior representatives. They told me to train their customer care representatives in a better way and to do this to me and other customers. They assured me that it would not be repeated.I also addressed some of the complaints from the comments section here and asked if the public could get in touch with a sensible person or if the other side I also mentioned how miserable it is to talk to others. I hope this will pave the way for better services in the future.”
