The New Orleans Saints will unveil the final updates of the dynamic $560 million renovation of the Caesars Superdome ahead of the team’s preseason home opener on August 25. The renovation is strategically targeted to enhance the venue’s fan experience. The team is proud to have invested approximately $180 million into the $560 million project. The collaborative project, funded by the New Orleans Saints, the Louisiana Stadium & Exposition District (LSED) and the state of Louisiana, will be five years in the making with a team of architects, contractors, designers and construction crews working around the clock and is expected to be completed in time for the start of the Saints’ season in 2024. Saints season ticket holders and their guests will be the first to experience the facility’s remarkable evolution before the building hosts the NFL’s signature event, Super Bowl 59, on February 9, 2025, which also marks the stadium’s 50th anniversary.
The goal of the Caesars Superdome renovation project is to maintain the building’s iconic exterior character while enhancing its overall functionality and the game-day experience for all guests. These modernizations will bring the facility on par with stadiums being constructed and renovated around the world, ensuring the legendary home of the Saints and the city of New Orleans will remain an ideal host for future Super Bowls, and numerous national and international events, for decades to come. Equally important, Caesars Superdome will continue to serve as a source of great civic pride while providing significant economic impact to the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana.

Wireless and Cellular Upgrades at Caesars Superdome
A key part of Caesars Superdome’s dynamic $560 million transformation to enhance the venue’s fan experience is a major upgrade to fans’ wireless and cellular experience on game days, thanks to the efforts of the New Orleans Saints, LSED, ASM Global, which played a key role in implementing the new technology, technology experts, the team’s wireless partner Verizon, and other cellular providers. Whether they use WiFi or cellular service, fans will experience best-in-class speeds throughout the stadium.
Wireless and cellular access has become essential to the game-day experience at NFL stadiums. To enhance their game-day experience, fans are using their smartphones to make and receive calls, send and receive emails and text messages, as well as view the New Orleans Saints mobile app powered by Verizon, use mobile ticketing, check scores and live stats, watch replays, receive fantasy team updates and make contactless purchases of food, drinks and merchandise.
“Fan usage and demand for technology as part of the game-day experience will continue to grow,” Saints President Dennis Lauscha said. “Providing our fans with the strongest, most reliable connectivity possible is key to our Caesars Superdome renovation project, and these upgrades will allow us to deliver a guest experience with the most effective wireless technology.”
