C Spire, a leading communications and technology services company, begins rapid expansion of its fiber infrastructure with the aim of bringing multi-gigabit home fiber internet with speeds up to 8 gigabit to thousands of homes in Robertsdale doing.
Toby Dubois, C Spire’s general manager of home services, emphasized the company’s commitment to Alabama’s fiber infrastructure.

Fiber construction is already underway at Nana Loop and Richmond Street in Robertsdale, with additional neighborhoods expected to be completed within the next 12 to 18 months. Homeowners in the Robertsdale area can now order residential fiber and sign up at: www.cspire.com/fiber.
Local government, community and business leaders are rallying residents to embrace new services. Robertsdale Mayor Charles H. Murphy expressed his appreciation for his C Spire investment in upgrading his data applications in the city.
“The City of Robertsdale certainly appreciates the financial investment that C Spire is making in upgrading the city’s data applications,” Murphy said. “This provides an opportunity for enhanced, high-quality communications services that will be made possible by installing a new fiber ring in Robertsdale.”
Lee Lawson, president and CEO of the Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance, emphasized the importance of C Spire’s investment in textile resources to Robertsdale’s economic development.
“Robertsdale is at the geographic center of one of the fastest growing and top economic development counties in the country,” Lawson said. “Residential and commercial investment is booming in Robertsdale, and C Spire’s continued investment in textile resources will certainly help maintain that positive investment momentum.”
Since its founding in 2014, C Spire has launched fiber optic service in more than 150 communities in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida and Tennessee. Cities in southern Alabama that offer C Spire’s fiber internet include Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, Foley, Fairhope, Robertsdale, Spanish Fort, and the unincorporated areas of Mobile and Baldwin counties.
