Bite Group selected Nokia’s Packet Core appliance-based solution to improve core network capacity and performance while driving the operator’s evolution towards advanced 5G services and simplifying its network architecture in Latvia and Lithuania.
By implementing the Nokia appliance-based Packet Core, Bite will be able to provide its customers with highly reliable connectivity and enhanced mobile broadband data services, as well as more advanced solutions such as Mobile Enterprise Virtual Private Network services.
The appliance-based solution offers pre-integrated and modular server-based configurations, providing greater flexibility to support a wider range of business and operational deployment models, enabling Bite to quickly target and serve new customers and generate new revenue streams, including expanding its fixed wireless access (FWA) services with additional home broadband capacity and enterprise-critical application services in underserved areas, as well as providing extreme bandwidth and capacity to end users using Nokia’s 5G standalone solutions.
As part of the agreement, Bite will integrate Nokia’s MantaRay network management solution for a unified and automated network view that optimizes network monitoring and management. Bite is already using FastMile 5G receivers alongside other Nokia products in its network to make broadband connectivity easier and more reliable for users.
Mindaugas Lauba, CTO At Vite The group stated: “We are excited to expand our partnership with Nokia and enhance our network capabilities through their packet core and fixed wireless access solutions, which will bring about a significant change in our network quality and service delivery, and most importantly, improve the overall customer experience.”
