According to the report, Malaysia’s 5G network recorded the world’s highest integrity score of 97.3% in the fourth quarter of 2023 (Q4 2023).

Regarding 5G availability, Ookla, which specializes in internet speed testing and analysis, said 5G availability in Malaysia increased from 21.0 per cent in Q1 2023 to 27.0 per cent in Q4 2023.
Malaysia adopted an approach to 5G deployment by introducing a single wholesale network (SWN) model through the establishment of Malaysia Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB) in 2021.
“Since its launch over two years ago, Malaysia’s 5G network has consistently shown good performance, making it one of the best performing 5G networks in the world.” the ministry said.
The report also notes that overall mobile speeds across all technologies have improved by at least 1.45 times in all states in Malaysia.
