ASUS ROG USB-BE92 is a USB 3.2 Gen1 based WiFi 7 adapter that supports IEEE 802.11a/b/n/ac/ax/be standards. It operates in the 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands with dual internal antennas for improved signal reception. The device is designed to deliver high throughput wireless performance in BE6500 networks and supports MU-MIMO technology. Primarily targeted at Windows 10 and 11 platforms, it enables the next generation of wireless connectivity when paired with a WiFi 7 router and compatible client devices.

Part of the ROG gaming family, the ROG USB-BE92 features the brand’s signature design and color scheme. Despite its gaming-style appearance, it’s a simple and versatile USB WiFi 7 adapter suitable for any user. Compatible with both Windows 10 and Windows 11, although Windows 11 24H2 may be required for full functionality of the Multi-Link Operation (MLO) feature.
So far, at least three companies have announced plans to release USB dongles that offer a plug-and-play solution for adding WiFi 7 to PCs and other hosts with a free USB 3.2 port. TP-Link first unveiled the Archer TBE400UH at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2024. This summer, MSI introduced its own BE6500 WiFi 7 dongle, and now ASUS has joined in with the announcement of the ROG USB-BE92 dongle.
