ASUS has launched the B760M-AYW PRO motherboard, a successor to their hugely popular OC-focused design with better VRM and IO support.
ASUS’ B760M-AYW PRO WIFI motherboard enhances the AYW design to deliver better IO while maintaining both overclocking quality and a budget price point
The “AYW” series was recently expanded by ASUS to support Intel’s new 700-series chipsets (such as the Z790 and B760), but it looks like the manufacturer is looking to continue elevating the lineup by offering an enhanced “PRO” variant. The motherboard has been revealed online on the ASUS website, giving us a clear idea of the onboard specs and features. From what we can see, the new PRO model doesn’t have any major changes from the original model, except for some changes within the VRM design and USB connections.

Starting with the specifications, the ASUS B760M-AYW PRO WIFI motherboard supports the LGA 1700 socket and is compatible with Intel’s 14th, 13th, and 12th generation CPUs. In terms of memory, the motherboard is equipped with two DIMM slots that support DDR5-8000+ MT/s memory, allowing for a maximum capacity of 96 GB. For the PCIe interface, the B760M-AYW PRO WIFI offers one PCIe 4.0 x 16 slot and one PCIe 4.0 x 1 slot, which is reasonable considering the mATX form factor that the motherboard comes with.
In terms of storage, the motherboard comes with two PCIe 4.0 x 4 M.2 slots and two SATA 6Gb/s ports, which is half the number of the original model. Network connectivity options are also solid on the motherboard, with one Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet port and a Wi-Fi 6 network card that also supports Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. Here’s a breakdown of the rear and front I/O panels: Interestingly, the PRO variant also comes with a USB Type-C interface.
Rear USB (total 8 ports)
- 2 x USB 10Gbps ports (2 x Type A)
- 4 x USB 5Gbps ports (4 x Type A)
- 2 x USB 2.0 ports (2 x Type-A)
Front USB (total 5 ports)

- 1 x USB 5Gbps connector (supports USB Type-C)
- 1 x USB 5Gbps header supports two additional USB 5Gbps ports
- 1 x USB 2.0 header supports 2 additional USB 2.0 ports

ASUS hasn’t revealed pricing for the B760M-AYW PRO WIFI motherboard yet, but considering it’s somewhat of an enthusiast option, we expect it to sell for around $200-250.
