Bengaluru is notorious for traffic congestion and long gridlock. Rapid urbanization, poor planning, and limited public transport options are just some of the reasons why the city’s roads get clogged every day during peak rush hours. Amid this, a video showing army soldiers disciplining traffic violators with stick-like objects has gone viral on social media. The incident was captured on a car dashcam and shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user Madhur (@ThePacardGuy).
The video, described by many as “satisfying,” shows a car suddenly stopping to avoid a motorbike approaching from the opposite direction. The scooter driver demands that the car give way, and an argument ensues. The situation then escalates when a military truck traveling in the opposite direction pulls up nearby and soldiers intervene.

In the video, a military soldier appears to be scolding a vehicle driver for breaking traffic rules by hitting him on the head. However, when the driver does not immediately back away, the soldier takes out a stick or baton from his truck to chastise the driver. The commotion attracts the attention of nearby traffic police, who eventually move the driver into the correct lane.
The video was shared on X just a day ago. Since then, it has garnered over 499,000 views and over 11,000 likes, with many users reacting to the video in the comments section.

“I would gladly pay more tax if army trucks patrolled the roads of Bangalore every day,” wrote one user. “Those on the wrong side should get a slap and a punishment before they are fined and their vehicles impounded,” commented another.
“They tend to follow the rules only when someone enforces them by hitting them with a stick,” said a third user. “Unfortunately, our beloved Indian Army has to step in to eliminate these vermin inside the country instead of focusing only on the enemy across the border. I wish the rules of the land could be enforced more strictly by the state police themselves and violators punished more harshly,” said a fourth user.
“I am all for giving traffic police, including home guards who help at traffic signals, the right to use batons against violators. It should be made an official offence with on the spot punishment. This nuisance and risk needs to be reduced,” commented another.
