ANA plans to introduce “free WiFi” switches to business class passengers on all international flights, and to premium economy and economy passengers from March 2025.
The airline already offers free internet in first class on domestic and international flights.
Earlier this year, ANA announced a broad initiative to make in-flight Wi-Fi free across all of its international flights, and plans to roll out free service in business class during the northern hemisphere summer. Executive Traveler We understand that an announcement of a start date is imminent.
International business class passengers on Star Alliance airlines are currently charged $7 for a short 30-minute session, $17 for three hours online or $22 for a “full flight plan.”
Premium economy and economy passengers will be able to use the app-based messaging free of charge by March 2025, with ANA hinting that they may also be able to “send and receive text messages” via email.
Sky Live TV channels CNN International, Sport 24 and NHK World Premium will continue to be offered free of charge to all passengers.
An ANA spokesperson said: Executive Traveler The airline had previously planned to change the internet provider on some of its Boeing 777 aircraft, which are equipped with older First and Business Class cabins rather than the more impressive The Suites and The Rooms, but said doing so could have delayed the rollout of free WiFi, so “we have decided to keep the provider and there will be no changes.”

ANA’s international satellite in-flight internet service is available from approximately 10 minutes after departure until approximately 10 minutes before landing.
As previously reported, free WiFi will soon be available on all Cathay Pacific flights to business class passengers, in addition to Cathay Diamond frequent flyers in premium economy and economy.
Qatar Airways will also offer super-fast WiFi to all passengers on certain long-haul Boeing 777 jets, with most of its fleet expected to be rolled out within the next two years.
