That’s right! The roughly $300 Galaxy phone has once again dropped by $50, meaning you can get it for around $250 on Amazon. But if you prefer to shop at Best Buy, you can also get the same discount there.
In this price range, this phone from Samsung is one of the best budget phones. It has a 6.5-inch screen and a 120Hz refresh rate. While most of the competitors in this segment use LCD panels, the Galaxy A25 5G uses an AMOLED display with high brightness levels. In other words, if you care about the quality of your display, this is one of the best options you can buy without breaking your budget. In terms of performance, you usually can’t expect perfection from a device that costs just under $300. That said, the Exynos 1280 chip used here offers plenty of power for the asking price, allowing you to play some light games and watch videos.
The camera department is also impressive. There’s a 50MP main camera with OIS that takes great photos (considering the MSRP of the Galaxy A25 5G). Along with that, there’s an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro lens. The ultra-wide unit can take great looking photos in the right conditions, but you shouldn’t expect great results with macro photography.
The Galaxy A25 5G is affordable and even cheaper than usual, making it a great choice for those on a budget, but Motorola fans should definitely check out this alternative.
Motorola stylus phones to consider
If you want a smartphone with a dedicated stylus, you might want to consider the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023). Normally retailing for around $400, this Android smartphone is currently on sale for 43% off, saving you $170.
The one advantage this phone has over the Samsung is undoubtedly the built-in stylus. But this is more than just a note-taking device. It offers plenty of performance with its Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip, has a 6.6-inch display, and has more built-in storage than the Galaxy option. On top of that, the Motorola phone has a slightly better front-facing camera (16MP vs. 13MP).
So which one is better? That’s up to you to decide, depending on your personal needs. What we know for sure is that both options have their own advantages and are attractively priced at the moment.
