Demonstrate the spectral efficiency benefits of AccelerComm’s 5G Layer 1 solution by providing stakeholders with an end-to-end simulation environment.
Southampton, UK – February 5, 2024 — AccelerComm®, a Layer 1 5G IP specialist, today announced the general availability of the PUSCH Channel End-to-End Simulator, a configurable tool that enables communications equipment vendors to evaluate their IP components. This simulator allows AccelerComm engineers and their customers to demonstrate the detailed behavior of his PUSCH processing components under 3GPP-defined scenarios and compared to his MATLAB® 5G Toolbox, a recognized industry benchmark. Can be analyzed comprehensively. In this way, both O-RAN communications equipment and silicon vendors can directly understand the spectral efficiency gains achieved by his AccelerComm® IP for their specific use cases.
“The challenge we face, both externally and internally, is how to effectively quantify and demonstrate the spectral efficiency gains from the advanced algorithms we are delivering to our customers. Every link in the value chain We needed a tool that would allow our customers to quickly understand these performance improvements and how they could benefit their specific use cases,” said Will Brown, Director of Terrestrial Network Products at AccelerComm®. says.
“The PUSCH channel simulator we are announcing today provides a powerful tool to quantify these gains. For example, we clearly demonstrate the 3dB spectral efficiency benefit of AccelerComm’s equalizer or the 0.8dB gain of an LDPC decoder. Masu.”
To quantify the performance of the AccelerComm® IP components and provide like-for-like comparisons, two signal processing chains are modeled side-by-side in the simulator. The primary chain consists of all the components of his MATLAB® and 5G Toolbox, but includes AccelerComm®’s interference estimator, channel equalizer, QAM demapper, and LDPC decoder. On the other hand, for the benchmark chain, all components are from MATLAB® and 5G Toolbox. Since each component can be replaced with an alternative solution, the impact of these components can be observed individually on the PUSCH channel of the upper PHY.
