It’s that time again. EE World’s 2024 5G, Wireless, and Wired Communications Handbook is here. The 41-page e-book includes 10 technical articles and editorials. This year we will cover the following topics:
- network timing,
- mmWave (2 articles),
- Power amplifier (3 items),
- Testing and Measurement (3 articles);
- open RAN
- 5G service
- optical transceiver module
wait a minute. Why does this bulleted list appear to contain more than 10 articles? It’s testing and measuring. Everything requires testing. In this case it’s a power amplifier. “How GaN PAs in 5G Radios Will Drive Test Requirements” can be classified as both a test article and an article about PAs. In another case, “Build a 5G open RAN test lab using open source software tools” covers both testing and open RAN. It can also be classified as covering open source software.
