The joint venture between Rubrik and MSP Assured Data Protection will offer Rubrik’s managed data protection and security services to potential clients in Latin America.
Assured Data Protection (ADP) is Rubrik’s largest global managed services supplier, with major offices in the UK and US, operating 24/7 across 40+ countries with data centre infrastructure in six locations worldwide.
ADP has been expanding into Latin America, including through a joint venture to establish a Rubrik presence in the region through Assured’s 24/7 managed services. The company believes businesses of all sizes across the continent will benefit from a more flexible approach to Rubrik deployments, enabling them to “recover faster” from cyberattacks, including ransomware.
Ghazal Asif Farhadi, VP of Global Channels & Alliances at Rubrik, said, “Rubrik is proud to support Assured in their new expansion into Latin America. Organizations need to achieve cyber resilience in the face of a growing cyber threat landscape, and there’s no better way for Latin American companies to achieve this than by working with Rubrik and Assured.”
ADP operates in markets including Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica, Chile and Colombia, and its clients include Niubiz, América TV, Ferromex and Farmacias Roma.
“To ensure businesses of all sizes can take advantage of Rubrik, there is no limit to the amount of data our customers can protect, and they can choose to protect as little or as much data as they need,” said Fiorella Minaya Rey, Latin America channel account manager at ADP and former Rubrik LATAM sales rep.
ADP has established a regional center of excellence staffed with engineers in Costa Rica and is hiring Spanish-speaking technical, sales and client service staff across the region to provide 24/7 support in all countries across sectors such as manufacturing, banking and education.
Simon Chappell, CEO of ADP, said: “Our expansion into Latin America is an important step in our ambitious growth plans for 2024 and beyond. Our new Center of Excellence is a strategic move to help us build the best possible customer service for our clients, so all of our clients around the world will benefit from that expertise.”
ADP’s Costa Rica Center of Excellence will operate using a combination of human technical skills and automation to neutralize many threats before customers even notice them. This model and approach to cyber resilience will be implemented as ADP expands beyond Latin America, North America and Europe.
The company opened its first Canadian data centre in April.
