Boxer’s parent company, Tele2, is revolutionizing the way its customers watch TV content by upgrading its service to a new WiFi-based TV solution, Tv Hub Mini. As the mobile content viewing landscape evolves, Tele2 is actively phasing out traditional program cards to provide customers with a more seamless, modern viewing experience.
Customers who still have their Boxer programming cards will be replaced with a Tv Hub Mini, which offers a wider selection and easier access to the streaming services included in Boxer’s TV packages. Customers do not need to take any action, but Boxer will contact all affected customers by email or letter in a timely manner.
Boxer has been contacting affected customers one by one since 2023. Terrestrial broadcasting will end on December 31, but most customers will not be affected because they have already switched to the Tv Hub Mini. The remaining customers will be upgraded in the fall of 2024.
Tv Hub Mini brings your 4K TV channels and streaming services together in one place, where you can browse channels with a handy remote and control them with voice. Some of the most popular apps are already pre-installed, but of course you can add more by downloading your favorite apps from the Google Play Store. Tv Hub Mini also has Chromecast and Bluetooth built in, so you can stream directly from your tablet or phone.
Niklas Rozendaal, entertainment director at Tele2
Television plays an important role in many people’s lives, and we want to help you get your TV Hub up and running easily. We’ve written clear, educational instructions and offer on-site installation assistance for those who request it, which has been well received. It’s natural for us to focus our resources on the technology that the majority of our customers already use. All technology needs to be upgraded sooner or later, and this is a great improvement for you to consume your favorite content. If you want to watch linear TV the way you did before, the new technology works great. And if you want to use play services and apps, you can now do that too.
