Motorola has been focusing on the high-end segment for a while now, but with the Motorola Moto G45 5G, it has once again shifted its focus to the affordable segment.
This is Motorola’s latest 5G smartphone, marketed as the “fastest and most capable 5G smartphone in the affordable segment.” The company says it is a “5G device without compromise,” offering Indian consumers best-in-class performance, design, display, camera, and cutting-edge 5G connectivity.
Motorola Moto G45 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset
This Android device boasts of a 6.5-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) LCD screen that supports 120Hz refresh rate and also supports professional-level Hi-Res audio with wide dynamic range for an enhanced listening experience.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 5G chipset, which is an octa-core chipset (2 x Cortex-A78 + 6 x Cortex-A55) that reaches a maximum clock speed of 2.30GHz. For graphics, it is equipped with an Adreno 619 GPU.
The device comes with an option of 4GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The phone also comes with a microSD card slot and supports up to 1TB of expandable storage. To power the system, the phone comes with a large 5000mAh battery and supports 18W wired charging.
The Motorola Moto G45 5G doesn’t compromise on hand feel either, weighing just 183g despite being 8.03mm thick and packing a 5000mAh battery. The phone is also IP52 dust and water resistant, meaning it’s safe even if you accidentally splash it with fresh water.
Speaking of the cameras, it comes with a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP macro sensor at the back, while on the front, there is a 16MP central punch-hole selfie shooter.
Price and color options:
The phone comes in three colour options – Brilliant Blue, Brilliant Green and Viva Magenta – with a vegan leather finish on the back. The 4GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB models are priced at Rs 10,999 (roughly $131 USD) and Rs 12,999 (roughly $155 USD), respectively.
Motorola India Managing Director TM Narasimhan said the company’s goal is to democratize the technology and provide an affordable, best-in-class 5G experience to a wider range of users across the country.
