Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a subsidiary of leading technology group Cassava Technologies, has acquired exclusive rights to sell and distribute Globalstar’s private 5G network in Africa. This was revealed in a press statement seen by TechNext. According to the statement, the development, which is the result of a strategic partnership between Liquid and American connectivity innovator Globalstar, aims to provide advanced 5G connectivity solutions across Africa.
The partnership also gives Liquid exclusive rights to sell and distribute Globalstar’s XCOM RAN private network 5G access solutions in the Gulf and Middle East. This innovative technology will enhance users’ 5G experience while also supporting AI-driven applications, set to revolutionize the mining industry in Africa as well as high-end markets in the Middle East and Gulf.
Commenting on the development, Strive Masiyiwa, Founder and Chairman, Liquid Intelligent Technologies, expressed excitement at the huge potential of the network for mining businesses.
