A two-year-old Chapel Lawn fan has set hearts racing on social media after her mother captured the moment she met her idol.
In May, 2-year-old Juliette Wasson, nicknamed “Baby Chapel Lawn,” started listening to the pop star after her mother, Kelsey Wasson (@kelseyjowasson), 29, started playing the singer’s songs. The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess Album in the car.
“One day, I was doing my daughter’s hair and the ‘Hot to Go’ music video came on, and she pointed to the TV and started saying, ‘Look! Look!’ And then she said, ‘Chapel Lawn has the same hair as me!’ And from there I was hooked,” Wasson, a controlled substances compliance coordinator from Kentucky, said. Newsweek.

“We live about an hour away from Kentuckiana Pride, where Chappelle will be performing in a few weeks, so we got tickets right away,” she continued.
Chapel Lawn’s recent meteoric rise to fame is a testament to her unabashed embrace of her identity and artistry, establishing her as a queer icon and a source of inspiration for little girls like Juliet.
Mother and daughter prepared an outfit for Juliet’s Chapel Lawn, finding a pink sequined one-piece, crib cowboy boots, and a pink cowboy hat.
“As soon as the costume arrived, she put it on and didn’t take it off all day,” Wasson said. “That first day, she completely embodied the character of Chapel. She no longer responded to Juliet, but insisted that her name was Chapel Loan.”
The moment Little Chapel Lawn met Big Chapel Lawn went viral on TikTok, garnering more than 2 million likes and over 8.6 million views.
“The day I met her still feels like a dream. Her team upgraded our whole group to VIP and we got backstage access right before the show,” Wasson said.

Juliette was shy at first and didn’t immediately recognise who Chapel Lone was, wearing his trademark drag make-up, but as soon as the singer introduced himself, Juliette’s eyes lit up and she exclaimed, “Chapel Lone?!”, before telling her idol, “I love you.”
A video montage shows Juliet enjoying the concert while perched on her father’s shoulders, clapping along to the music and dancing to the catchy theme tune, “Hot to Go,” which has become Juliet’s favorite song.
Wasson said of their meeting: “I think Chappell is a fantastic role model. Juliette is too young to understand the magnitude of Chappell’s efforts, but I do. It’s taken her over 10 years to make it in the music industry.”
“She’s had many setbacks along her journey, but she’s persevered. Even now, she remains an incredibly kind and humble person, having risen to become one of the most famous pop stars in the world.”
Wasson said the singer’s lyrics are often adult and explicit, but “Juliet” focuses mainly on catchy beats and playful elements, and he praised the star for his innuendo.
“For example, her song ‘Red Wine Supernova’ mentions wands and rabbits,” Wasson says. “Juliet only hears songs about wands and rabbits. To her, ‘Pink Pony Club’ is a song about pink horses.”
She added, “‘Hot to Go’ taught her to spell. She also loves repeating the chant at the end of ‘Femininomenon’ when Chapel says, ‘But that’s going to happen? No!’ It’s so cute.”
“When you’re a kid, you’re not listening to the lyrics, you’re listening to the beat and the music.”
TikTok users were also enthralled by the moment, with fans and even Spotify’s official account commenting on the encounter: “So sad. Baby Chapel Lone meets grown-up Chapel Lone,” the music streaming service wrote.
“Wow tall Chapel Lone is so happy to meet little Chapel Lone,” added another.
“She’s gonna tell all her friends about this when she grows up, damn it,” one commenter said.
