As Twitter users have attested, the third act has many Alien: Romulus‘ has been met with rave reviews. The film features a major turning point with the deaths of five of the seven main cast members, and the final act features many more such deaths, the most horrifying of which comes after Kay unintentionally gives birth to a xenomorph hybrid. As she lies dying, Kay forces her child to drink her blood, which is enough to make for a memorable third act in itself.
The live-action special effects make this movie a stunning piece of work, instead of relying on CGI like previous movies. Coach Fede Alvarez has chosen to take advantage of the practical element Wherever possible, this theme led to the development of animatronic Xenomorphs, allowing for more realistic reactions from the actors. The entire cast now interacts with life-sized Xenomorphs, making every action even more chilling. The fast pace creates fear as well, with characters racing through the final act, barely giving the audience a chance to catch their breath.
