UK-based audio manufacturer Monitor Audio is launching its new Gold Series 6G speaker line, a collection of six distinctive speakers designed for flexibility and user-friendliness whilst maintaining the company’s high standards of audio quality.
According to the company, this new speaker series, the sixth generation of the Gold Series, is designed with significantly improved sound quality and design for both audiophiles and home cinema enthusiasts.
The Gold Series 6G consists of six different models: Gold 500 6G, Gold 300 6G, Gold 100 6G, Gold 50 6G, Gold On-Wall 6G, and Gold C250 6G. Each model is designed to address a specific audio need, from high-fidelity listening to versatile home theater setups.
Gold Series 6G Introduces New Diaphragm Technology
One of the standout features of the Gold Series 6G is the introduction of Hexagonal Diaphragm Technology (HDT), a new metal cone technology developed by Monitor Audio. HDT is designed to improve sonic clarity and deliver a more accurate frequency response by disrupting the symmetrical pattern in the cone split. According to the company, the technology is an evolution of the RDT III cones used in Monitor Audio’s flagship Platinum Series and innovative Hyphn speakers.
According to Monitor Audio, the new HDT cones are manufactured using the company’s proprietary Ceramic Coated Aluminum Magnesium (C-CAM) material, which the company says is stronger and more durable than standard aluminum designs, resulting in more piston-like cone movement. The technology is applied across the entire Gold Series 6G range, including the newly developed 3-inch mid-frequency driver and the 6-inch and 8-inch bass drivers.
Additional Enhanced Design Features
Monitor Audio says the Gold Series 6G introduces a variety of design enhancements aimed at improving both aesthetics and functionality, including a cabinet designed to provide a robust construction that minimizes vibration. High-frequency transducer placement has also been optimized to reduce edge diffraction, the company says.
The speakers use a new faux ebony veneer that the company claims has a lower carbon footprint compared to traditional wood veneers. The speakers are available in three finishes: high-gloss black, satin white and the new faux ebony veneer.
Monitor Audio is marketing a new product aimed at both serious audio enthusiasts and those who want the best sound quality from their home theater system.
