As the company’s first agreement with a wireless carrier, SKYEBOXE will bring 5G wireless communications to the UScellular market.
SKYBOXE announced a partnership with UScellular to provide 5G wireless broadband connectivity to consumers and businesses within UScellular’s network coverage. In its first agreement with a wireless carrier, SKYBOXE will operate as a UScellular reseller, offering unlimited data plans with high-speed access of up to 800 gigabits per month in UScellular markets across the United States.
“We aim to close the digital divide, and the arrival of our 5G wireless broadband service brings us one step closer to realizing this vision,” said Rob Shambro, CEO and co-founder of SKYBOXE. “This technology does more than just provide faster internet speeds; it enables our services to reach markets that traditional wired networks cannot reach, providing a lifeline to communities struggling to find reliable connectivity. We’re pleased that UScellular is working with us to pave the way for everyone to participate in the digital economy, regardless of location.”
SKYBOXE is preparing to launch the SKYBOXE 5G Fixed Wireless Access Router in Q3 2024, a solution that offers faster download and upload speeds and greater reliability compared to traditional wireless technologies. The Wireless Access Router is a single device that features both gateway and routing functions, making it more convenient and easier to set up and use.
