South Korean telecommunications company KT and LG Electronics are collaborating to develop 6G transmission and full-duplex communication technology and will also work together to set global standards for the next generation of mobile phone systems.
Full duplex will be included in the 5G-Advanced standard Release 18 and is expected to improve spectral efficiency by allowing uplink and downlink data to be transmitted and received simultaneously in the same frequency band.
