The Princess of Wales wanted time, space and privacy.
At first no one respected her wishes. Now I wish people would leave her alone.

Please pray for the Princess of Wales, King Charles III, and their entire family as they undergo treatment for cancer. Having multiple family members undergoing cancer treatment is difficult for any family, and everyone needs prayers.

Online rumors and conspiracy theories about Kate’s whereabouts have been circulating for weeks, most of them fueled by the release of an edited photo of the Princess of Wales on Mother’s Day in the UK.
Kensington Palace fire: ‘The response was so bad’
This prompted some to share criticism of the royal family and Kensington Palace online, with the Duchess of Cambridge’s entire health situation being “inadequately handled” for several weeks.
Only Kensington Palace should feel ashamed. This whole thing has been handled very sloppily, with fake photos and Kagemusha being used to consistently make the situation worse, which naturally leads to speculation.
To make matters worse, she appears alone in the video. Was William busy?
— Tops (@SincerelyTops) March 22, 2024
It’s worth asking whether Kate would have had to make this announcement if Kensington Palace’s PR team had handled everything differently from the beginning.
— Ellie Hall (@ellievhall) March 22, 2024
Kensington Palace should have known all along that Kate had cancer, so why did they release the doctored photo and throw the Duchess under the bus?
— Naledi🍉 (@naledimashishi) March 22, 2024
This is so heartbreaking and even more insane that the palace accused her of photoshopping https://t.co/wYW9fQaL6R

Social media users admit shame, call out conspiracy theories
Before Kate’s video was released, celebrities like Jimmy Kimmel and Jamie Lee Curtis shared similar sentiments. During her monologue on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on March 21, the late night host implored people to “leave this woman alone.” The next morning, Curtis wrote on Instagram: “This is a person with young children,” and urged people to stop spreading conspiracy theories.
Others slammed X to express their regrets to those who have been spreading rumors about Kate for weeks.
You are such a strong person, Katherine! It’s really a shame that people can’t give you the respect and privacy you’ve asked for. I pray for you all. I hope you can find the space you need to heal now.

A few days ago, I posted a post mocking the media’s obsession with Duchess Kate over other news. There was no malicious intent, but that tweet is embarrassing. So sad to hear the news that a young woman and her mother have contracted cancer and we sincerely hope she makes a full recovery 🙏🏼

I hate the royal family, but those who have made fun of them, and who have recently made fun of Kate, should be ashamed and embarrassed. They know what the Princess of Wales is going through now, so she should think twice before doing anything stupid.#kensingtonpalace pic.twitter.com/WFdWszuzT0

All you conspiracy theorists should be ashamed. The Duchess of Cambridge’s incessant spread of conspiracy theories and foolish theories about why she has withdrawn from public life forced the Duchess to prematurely announce her cancer diagnosis. It is.amazing pic.twitter.com/a27FDz7FDE

I hope this silences all the mean trolls and media pundits, but I hope you all are ashamed. This beautiful young woman and her mother, Princess Kate Middleton, was just trying to protect her children! She has the right to decide who knows what and when. She sends her her healing power and love x pic.twitter.com/HlJrCMplPq

Now, can we just leave everyone alone and let them figure it out on their own?
— Wayne Parker (@WaynetheCatDad) March 22, 2024
It’s time to stop the jokes and speculation. I hope she makes a full recovery because regardless of her position, she is a young mother 🙏🏻

It’s really unfortunate that you felt the need to share such a private matter with the world. I hope all the desperados who were hungry for another fascinating royal story are now happy.
As for you, Kate, I sincerely hope that your treatment goes well and that you make a full recovery. my thoughts…— Travis (@Travman6746) March 22, 2024
