A few days after announcing its new Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 processor designed for slightly cheaper flagship phones and tablets, Qualcomm is launching another new chip. This time, instead of the less powerful Snapdragon 8 series processor, more Powerful Snapdragon 7 series chips for midrange and sub-flagship devices.
new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ 3rd generation The processor promises a 15% increase in CPU performance and 45% increase in graphics performance compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip launched last fall. It also brings new features such as support for WiFi 7 and improved support for on-device generative AI features.

Qualcomm says the new chip “supports a wide range of AI models” including Llama 2, Gemini Nano, Baichuan-7B, and Zhipu ChatGLM.
It also brings faster memory and storage and support for more Snapdragon Elite Gaming features to the Snapdragon 7 series for smoother gameplay and improved upscaling.

Qualcomm said the first companies scheduled to announce devices with the new processor include OnePlus, Realme and Sharp.
